Richard Jordan

Richard Jordan, 80, was executed by the State of Mississippi on the evening of 25th June 2025. He was convicted of the murder of a woman in 1976. He was a veteran and suffering from PTSD.

 

His death sentence was reversed three times for constitutional errors.

 

Richard was well-liked by both his fellow prisoners and the staff at Parchman. He worked hard keeping the place clean and tidy and did not cause any trouble.

 

How is the State able to justify killing a man who had been incarcerated without incident for five decades?

 

How did the execution make anybody in Mississippi any safer?
