A message from Joseph:

“As a founding member alongside Elisabeth McCann I am proud of the accomplishments to becoming the very first national and world recognized anti- d.p. organization in the state of Mississippi.

Its an honor to be able to be a voice and to give a voice to so many men and women. We are no longer voiceless and faceless with this inhumane system which seeks to ex–cute us.

It is humbling as well as satisfying that we are reaching a segment of society who are ailing to engage with us in order to help create a Just system that is both equitable and fair when it comes to dispensing the ultimate punishment.”

A message from Devin:

“Humans Remain has given me and others a voice to speak truth to power while also allowing us the opportunity to express and share hope and love with the world. I am truly blessed to be a part of this movement, this family.

It continues to remind me of the greater purpose and worth found in us all. I’m humbled to be sharing this space and I look to the future with great expectations.

Thank you to Liz, Joseph , and all those who by there availability, sacrifice , and dedication , make this movement mean something.God speed.”

A message from Tim:

“Over the past year, HumanS Remain has given me something I would never have.

For the first time in more than ten years I feel like I have a voice and people are interested in hearing what I have to say.”

A message from Rahim:

“HumanS Remain gives me an opportunity to be heard ,a chance to show who I am as a person. It also makes me visible to the world, it gives the Truth a platform to stand on……”

A letter from Project Hope, the Alabama prisoner’s group:

Congratulations Humans Remains for an amazing first year!

The connections you have made inside Mississippi and outside the state that stretches worldwide has created a concrete base to grow from. We here at Project Hope to Abolish the Death Penalty (PHADP) would like to say we are proud to have you involved in the endeavor of fighting against injustice in Capital Punishment and the injustice carried out in other areas in Mississippi and nationwide.Hearing and reading the words from the gentlemen in Mississippi will carry forth a message that the citizens of the state, the nation and the world needs to hear and read!

We look forward to helping and working with your organization for years to come, with the goal of abolishing state sanctioned murder! Again, Congratulations, this is only the beginning of the fight for justice and equality…..
