Mississippi Death Row – the exonerated….

Introducing Sherwood Brown…..

Sherwood Brown was exonerated from Mississippi Death Row having spent 26 years sentenced for a triple murder he did not commit.

Sherwood was the 100th African American in the US to be exonerated from a capital conviction and death sentence since 1973.

The Mississippi Supreme Court over-turned Sherwood’s conviction and death sentence in 2017.

Still the prosecutors tried to shape another case around him and it took another three years before the charges against him were dismissed.

I’ve had the great pleasure of getting to know Sherwood and his incredible wife Cynthia.

We have recorded some conversation to share his story and will be posting these in full right here on HumanS Remain.
